A unique & bespoke approach

As coaches our role is to carefully analyse the client’s situation and context and chose the most effective intervention from the array of of proven tools and techniques that are grounded in theory and practice … enabling clients to develop practical actions to take away not only from each session but forward in their lives and careers

We tailor every engagement to the client and their situation, typically looking at:

Analysis of your context

What’s working and not working; developing an understanding of the root causes and how you might influence them

Improve self awareness

Through 360 interviews, proven psychometrics and other tools

Set yourself up for success

From articulating and communicating vision and strategy through to team, culture, structure and processes

Improve stakeholder engagement

Recognising the importance of it; developing a strategy and message for shareholders, board and the wider organisation

Build skills

In areas which may be holding you back.

Developing strategies to cope with pressure, stress and frustration

Using proven tools and techniques from various areas of applied psychology

Structured reflection

In addition we provide a supportive space for structured reflection and challenge engaging a variety of coaching techniques to enable you to develop practical actions to take away from each session.

This often involves simply being a confidential and safe sounding board for you to discuss the issues at hand, test positions and approaches or work through challenging emotions.

Proven tools

Our experience as executives and coaches has given us a broad range of proven tools and techniques that are helpful in coaching interventions but that the client can take forward with them through their life and career.

In addition to our core training with the Meyler Campbell Mastered program we have extensive training and interest in various areas of applied psychology from cognitive behavioural therapy; sports psychology; positive psychology and mindfulness.

Typical engagement and Costs

A coaching engagement typically last 6-12 months although extended relationships are not uncommon for clients in continually evolving roles and circumstances.

Our model is flexible but we typically work on a retained basis (as opposed to fixed sessions / time) over an extended time-period with an agreed set of objectives. This enables us to develop deeper relationships with clients and provide them with access to coaching support when they need it most.

Engagement with the sponsor

Whilst some of our clients contract with us directly, most of our work is undertaken with and through the sponsoring organisation.

Where there is a sponsoring organisation, it is important to establish a three-way relationship including engagement with the sponsoring organisation to ensure individual goals align with the strategic objectives of the organisation.

Each engagement is unique, however typically we will meet with the client and the sponsor at the beginning and end of the coaching programme, in addition to periodic check-ins with the HR lead and the sponsor throughout the programme (a process which we encourage the client to take ownership of).

Bringing everyone together at the end is a chance to review progress made, celebrate the successes and agree any further actions required.

“I worked with Kate for 6 months following a move into a new role and organisation. With Kate’s support and guidance I was able to successfully navigate this transition whilst gaining new perspectives and learning what actions and behaviours to use to achieve results sooner. She acted as an external sounding board, allowing me to discuss specific, confidential situations and provided relevant, useful and unbiased feedback.”

“Ivan has helped me become more conscious of the people around me and the impact I have on them. Through his listening, guiding and reasoning, he has helped me embrace the true meaning of collaboration and the importance of creating a team of people who are engaged and feel part of something special. I no longer go to work feeling worried and looking to get through the tasks of the day; my focus is on driving performance by making a positive difference to people's lives.”
